Decon Goes Big Time
The ReStore recently entered the world of large-scale deconstruction of military housing. We teamed up with Atlantic Marine Corps Communities LLC, the public-private venture company formed by the Department of the Navy and Actus Lend Lease, to save materials from the Stewart Terrace Military Family Housing Area in Orange County, New York. In a little over 1 week, we saved over 30 tons of materials from disposal, including over 70 cabinets sets, 30 garden sheds and 70 windows. That’s a lot of waste diversion for our environment and affordable home improvement for our customers! Our esteemed colleagues at Construction Junction of Pittsburgh, PA partnered with the ReStore to get the job done; many thanks to AMCC for their forward-thinking approach to demolition and redevelopment. Check out our website decon page for photos.

Come See Us at the Home Show
We will be back again to the Western Massachusetts Home and Garden Show at the Big E in West Springfield, from March 23rd-26th. This year’s tent will feature great deals on a nice sampling of our merchandise, a demonstration of our Deconstruction Services’ denailing gun tool, and more. Please stop by and say “Hello” - we’ll be outside near the main show entrance. Receive free admission and parking if you volunteer at the ReStore tent for 4 hours or more; visit our job/volunteer page for more info.
The ReStore (or at Least Our Sink) Makes the Cover of a National Magazine
The ReStore has been featured in two national magazines recently. One of our previously-owned sinks made the cover of the February issue of Country Living Magazine, as part of a kitchen makeover feature. Inside the issue you’ll also find one of our light fixtures. You can see a thumbnail of the cover on our website. We were also featured in the March/April issue of Natural Home and Garden. On page 18 you’ll find a piece about Judy Moore’s house in Cummington, MA, which was built by her son Jonathan using many items from the ReStore.
Staffing News
Do you know someone who loves reuse and is a marketing whiz? We’re looking for a new Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to replace Tammi McBath, who is off to nursing school. We are also seeking all types of volunteers. Check out our job/volunteer page for more info.
